Richard Pell: Senior Clerk

Richard was appointed Senior Clerk when Chambers was founded in 2020. Richard is responsible for developing and managing each members’ practice and leads the Clerking Team. Richard's background highlights a 16 year career working within the Criminal Justice system as a Litigator attending Crown Court's across the East Midlands. This has been key to Richard’s understanding of the operational needs of those instructing.

Sarah Underwood: Practice Manager

Sarah is Nottingham born and bred. Her experience within the Criminal Justice system exceeds two decades and is renowned for having an extensive network of contacts. Sarah's primary role is diary management, but also oversees all Chambers' Fee processing. Sarah is often labelled “the calm amidst the chaos” of a busy Clerks Room!

Jack Simmons: Practice Clerk

Jack has an impressive CV having worked as a paralegal for a firm of solicitors, a Clerking Officer at the Ministry of Defence and an Advocacy Manager at the Crown Prosecution Service. Jack is described as having excellent people skills which blends perfectly with his primary role of diary management. Originating from Merseyside, Jack is easily identifiable by his “proper scouse” accent. He is an avid supporter of Liverpool F.C.

Sophie Horne: Fees Clerk

Sophie has a strong reputation for accuracy and efficiency. She is responsible, alongside Sarah, for fee processing within Chambers. Sophie has extensive experience within the legal profession, having been a practicing barrister and law lecturer.
