Recent Cases

R V JT - October 2024 - Junior in a case of Murder with a number of defendants.    The deceased was lured to a meeting at which the murder took place with the cutting of the throat of the deceased.
 
R V GH - Feb 2025 - Trial in relation to a large drugs conspiracy involving multiple kilograms of Heroin and Cocaine resulting in a hung jury.
 
R V SU - April 2025 - acquitted after trial of strangulation.
 
R V DH - October 2025 - acquitted after trial of strangulation and assault by penetration.
 
R V DG - December 2025 - D was charged with voyeurism in the changing area of a leisure centre.  Acquitted after trial.
 
R V CG - January 2026 - D was one of 3 young defendants charged.  After trial he was acquitted of aggravated burglary.
 
R V TT - March 2026 - Junior in a case of murder in which the deceased had been stabbed several times in their flat.
 
R V DB - April 2026 - Trial on rape resulting in a hung jury.
 
R V MS - May 2026 - Junior in a case of murder by stabbing.  Acquitted of murder and convicted of manslaughter.
 
R V PM - June 2026 - Acquitted after trial of sexual assault of his daughter in law.
 
R V AW - Acquitted after trial of ABH following a neighbour dispute where the allegation was that D had driven at the neighbour making contact with his car.
 
R V TS - July 2026 - Junior in a case of attempted murder following D stabbing his mother and step father.  Complex issues of mental health were dealt with within the case.
 
R V AP - Found not guilty by reason of insanity to an offence of ABH following trial.
 
R V DL - appeared at the Court of Appeal and successfully appealed a sentence for dwelling house burglary.
 
R V LB  -successfully defended in an Attorney General’s reference to the Court of Appeal in relation to a sentence for perverting the course of justice. 
 
R V TJ - representation in contested confiscation proceedings following conviction of Fraud.
