Mini-Pupillage

Castle Gate Chambers offers a three-day Mini-Pupillage scheme to students who are in the latter stages of their University studies and wish to pursue a career at the Criminal Bar. The scheme seeks to give students an insight into the working life of a practicing Criminal Barrister in its truest form.

Mini-Pupillage

As a Nottingham based set, successful applicants can expect to spend their Mini-Pupillage attending Crown Courts in the East-Midlands where they will be accompanied by a member of Chambers to observe. Applicants may also be asked to undertake legal research to assist counsel.

The intention of the scheme is for candidates (and Chambers) to gain a positive, forward-thinking impression with a view to recruiting the most talented individuals who wish to join the Criminal Bar.
